I love music. I have always been passionate about music and I believe it can make anyone, even on the lowest of low days, feel better. I’ve put together a list of songs that inspire me and make me feel happy, motivated and pumped for the day! Songs that make you want to climb Mt. Everest and be like, ‘Psh that shit was a PIECE of CAKE.’ It’s quite an eclectic mix of artists from around the world; Australia, Austria, England, Australia, Germany and America!

Before scrolling down to my wondrous list of inspirational ‘pump-up’ songs, I want to share this music video by Prince Ea. This rapper is so unique. His songs are about saving the environment, loving one another for who we are as individuals. This is such a great message, definitely worth 2 minutes of your time.

Prince Ea’s videos generated over 30M views within 14 days. I am so inspired by this because it proves that we all feel the same way about the world. That something isn’t right and we want to change it. We want to change our world for the better but we feel like we can’t do it. The truth is we stop ourselves from doing anything about it because we feel so small as individuals. We feel like we don’t have a say in anything because we are just one person in this huge world without a voice because we are not a politician or a musician or an actress or anyone of importance. But what Prince Ea is doing is bringing us together to be one voice. If we can all come together we will have so much more power than any politician or actress or musician. We just need a way to express our voice without feeling like nobody is going to listen. Hopefully this is what Prince Ea can help us do. Let’s stand together as one voice.
Now onto the music…..
1. Blind Faith – Chase & Status
The ultimate ‘you can do it!’ song. English electronic music duo composed ‘Blind Faith’ and became number 5 in UK singles chart. The “sweet sensation” line is sampled by Loretta Holloway’s 1980 disco hit ‘Love Sensation.’
2. Not Giving In – Rudimental ft. John Newman
How can you listen to this and not want to jump around? English drum and bass band of four members topped the chart in the UK with this hit.
3. Riptide – Vance Joy (FlicFlac Edit)
FlicFlac is where it’s at! This remix makes this one hit wonder even better. Original version is by Vance Joy, Australian singer-songwriter, his song “Riptide” was voted number 1 on the 2013 Triple J Hottest 100.
4. Show Me Love – Sam Feldt
Original song by recording artist Robin S. in the early 90’s, but has now been deliciously remixed by Sam Feldt.
5. Sunny – Bobby Hebb
A classic that is sure to make you smile! A fun remixed version as well. Bobby Hebb (1938-2010) was an American R&B/soul singer, musician, songwriter, recording artist, and performer known for his 1966 hit entitled “Sunny.”

6. Better Man – Leon Bridges
This 27 year old musician from Fort Worth, Texas has stirred up the music scene with his soulful mid to late 60’s sound.
7. Coming Over – James Hersey (Filous Remix)
This is more of a summer tune, but it makes me happy every time I listen to it! James Hersey is an electropop singer-songwriter, producer, and recording artist from Vienna, Austria.
8. Coastin’ – Zion I ft. K Flay
Originally a hip hop head, this has been my favourite for a very long time now, it’s a bit slower than the rest but is a great song for cruisin’ in your car with the windows down. Zion I is a Hip Hop duo from Oakland, California (near my hometown), this song was on their album called ‘The Takeover’ which won Best Bay Area Hip-Hop Record.

9. Deckchairs on the Moon – Bipolar Sunshine
This is a bit different but I love it. This kid, Adio Marchant, was previously co-vocalist with Kid British in Manchester, but has since broken out into solo artist Bipolar Sunshine.
10. Stolen Dance – Milky Chance (FlicFlac Remix)
The chorus on this song makes me hap-pay! Milky Chance is a German folk duo with reggae and electronic music. FlicFlac remix to add some spice.
11. Home – Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes
This is the most adorable song ever. Love the back and forth duet. Written and recorded by American group Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes. It was released in January 2010 as the second single from the album, Up from Below.

  2. I do love a list post!! As you may well know….! Anyway, there are some absolute corkers on this list. I saw Rudimental 2 years ago – amazing. I love working out to them. Brilliant post. #stayclassy

  3. Love the Prince Ea video – what a great way to get across such an important message. And it’s so important to have music that pumps you up! One of my favourite times of day is when I cook dinner with my headphones in – I crank up some tunes and dance off the stress of the baby-filled day. #StayClassy

  4. Omg that is such a good idea for cooking! I normally hate cooking but that would help so much, I need to start enjoying it more because I can’t feed my kid takeaway all the time haha!
