Hi dearest son that looks like a cute blue bear sprawled out on the bed right now,
I’m sorry it has been a while since I have written a letter. You are A LOT of work, but in a good way. : ) I love you more and more every single day. I’m going to be honest, it was very hard the first couple months (you are now 3 months old, or officially, 14 weeks), trying to recover and be a new Mom. I didn’t realise how difficult it was going to be, not because you are difficult, you are actually quite a good baby, but because becoming a Mom is a really big transition into a completely new world.
I literally feel like I am in a new world. My thoughts have changed, and I have new friends, and the old friends I used to hang out with (and still do) talk about the same thing but I feel differently about what they talk about.
You have changed my life for the better Hudson, and I will always love you for that. Not that I had a terrible life before you, it was actually pretty awesome; great friends, great job, great house, great boyfriend. But now that you are here, it is even MORE awesome. I love you so much.
This sounds silly, but I can’t wait to dance with you. I want to turn on the music really loud and just dance around the house with you…okay, and Daddy can join too.
I want to run into the ocean with you.
Ride bikes in the park with you.
Give you the biggest, squeeziest hug in the world.
Learn how to bake with you.
Water color with you.
And so much more! You are waking up now. I have to feed you, I love you so much. You mean the world to me.
