Stay Classy Mama

Just this week I had a very classy moment….

This inspired me to write a few other classy moments since becoming a Mum (plus “how I felt” in gifs).

Hungover for the first time in 9 months, carrying a new baby, trying to make breakfast and dropping the entire carton of milk all over the kitchen floor….. and crying about it

giph sad

Going to the shop to buy more milk, diapers and dinner…. leaving with a new scarf and chocolate brownies

giphy scarf

Planning to bake a cake for your hubby’s birthday, going to the grocery store and buying eggs …….and a pre-made cake

giphy birthday cake

Leave the house, need a wee, re-enter the house, have wee, leave the house, need a wee

giph wee

Explosive poo all over my new scarf

giphy poo

Leaving the house without a bra on and walking around Sainsbury’s with wet nipples

My hubby was like….

giph husband was like

Going to the bathroom while the baby is sitting in the swing……watching you

Baby is like…

giphy baby

And I’m like…

giphy skeptical

Forgetting to put the brake on the pram while talking to some “experienced” parents and making a swift exit by catching the pram before rolling down the hill

giph well yea

Farting and blaming it on the baby

giph fart chuffed

Do you have any classy moments you can share?

And now let me introduce you to my very own linky called #StayClassy. Obviously the blog topics don’t always have to be a “stay classy” moment as all topics are welcome, but I like the hashtag and I think it represents motherhoood in a humorous and honest way.

Will be running from Thursday to Saturday and I’ll be featuring a blog each week. Great way to discover new blogs and generate more traffic to yours! Check it out here.

  1. oh too funny! think we all have some of these #stayclassy moments if we look for them hard enough – actually I probably don’t have to look too hard! #coolmumclub

  2. Ha! I regularly leave home without remembering to re-fasten my nursing bra, so my boobs are pretty much all out there. I’ve also forgotten to put the brake on the pram on the bus and had to chase the it down the aisle in front of all the other passengers. #stayclassy

  3. My now 2 year old little girl use to stare me down while I was using the potty and while I was in the shower. My friend got explosive poo in her eye the day she was being discharged from the hospital. Haha! It is a crazy life for moms!

  4. Such a funny new linky! My stay classy moment was waiting for the baby change with little one against me, little did I realise that the nappy was leaking poo all over my jumper. I only realised when I was back at our table in the pub. Doh! Claire X #coolmumclub

  5. This is so funny! I’ll try to link up soon, it sounds like it is going to be great! A couple of weeks ago I had a Tesco delivery, the driver was bringing the boxes in and as I bent down to pick out the food, my boob popped right out. I really should start to wear a bra in the house! Jemma x #coolmumclub

  6. lol, what is it about chocolate brownies and new scarves, I am addicted to both!! #fabfridaypost

  7. This has made me laughed out loud all the way! Thanks for introducing to your new linky. Will try to link up too. Thanks for linking up with us on #FabFridayPost x

  8. LMAO; the milk leaking in the first month or so is the worst! I went to stop by my work during maternity leave and forgot to wear nursing pads. Dean started to get hungry and I had small wet spots – so embarrassing!

  9. haha love it and yes im sure my kids love me for some of the things i do – mainly farting and blaming one of them except one time when i was out and thought i did a silent one only for my daughter to turn round and shout ‘ i heard that mummy’!! Mortified!! #bigpinklink

  10. These are all brilliant! Love the gifs. I’ve definitely had more then a few of those moments in my time as a mama! Link sounds good too. I’m not sure I’ve ever been classy, even pre-kids! Was always the one tripping over my jeans and making an entrance! 😀 Thanks for linking up to our #bigpinklink

  11. This is has made me laugh out loud at work, it’s great! I love the hashtag, I don’t if I can join in because my older daughters censor almost everything I publish ha! X

  12. Just brilliantm love this! We are all so classy once we’ve had kids. This week I was chatting to someone (kid free) who said ‘oh, nice’ when I’d wiped my baby’s nose with my fingers and wiped it on his trousers. As if he’d care. They’ll be covered in milk/snot/poo/wee/vomit by midday anyway. Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. Note to self: stay classy and always carry hankies in case meet random kid-free classy, sane person #stayclassymama
